Tampnet was founded in 2001 in Stavanger, Norway and operates the world’s largest offshore high-capacity communication network in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, serving customers within Oil & Gas, Wind Energy, Maritime and Carrier sectors with first-class telecommunications. The company is headquartered in Stavanger, Norway and has offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, USA, Canada, and Trinidad & Tobago. Tampnet connects offshore installations to redundant and reliable terrestrial networks with high capacity and low latency (high speed) services.

Through innovative network solutions, Tampnet enables offshore industry to digitalize operations for safer, more efficient facilities, with LTE, NB-IoT and private networks to support wireless sensors for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and remote operations. In creating new, high quality route alternatives, Tampnet is improving accessibility to new, carbon neutral data centres in the Nordics, designing the services to meet the capacity and latency demands of the future, and providing direct and secure site to shore connectivity options.

As a partner in the European Aviation Network, Tampnet further extends its network for airline connectivity over the North Sea.

WIND ENERGY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES (ON- AND OFFSHORE)

Tampnet connects offshore installations to redundant and reliable terrestrial networks with high-capacity and low-latency (high speed) services. Tampnet also designs, installs and operates offshore and onsite connectivity solutions. These include 4G and 5G coverage networks to enable both mobile roaming and reliable onsite connectivity for private networks and edge compute solutions, supporting digitalisation initiatives such as IoT sensors and connected worker devices on offshore installations and vessels.
