WAB common booth: Visit us in Copenhagen!

Copenhagen, November 23, 2021. WAB e.V., at the same time wind and hydrogen association and innovation cluster, is represented at the European industry trade fair WindEurope Electric City 2021 in Copenhagen this week. Our joint stand together with five co-exhibitors underlines the internationalization of the mostly medium-sized offshore wind industry and the associated opportunities for value creation and employment. You will find our joint stand in Hall D, Stand D-50.

"With our joint booth, we emphasize that we have experienced companies in Germany whose expertise is also in demand in numerous other markets to generate electricity and 'green' hydrogen from wind," says Heike Winkler, Managing Director of WAB e.V. "The recent climate summit in Glasgow has once again underlined that we need to significantly step up our efforts for efficient and effective climate protection. Wind energy expansion on land and at sea as well as the immediate conversion into 'green' hydrogen play a major role in this," she adds. In WAB's view, offshore wind is a key technology for achieving the climate targets. We must immediately exploit all acceleration and expansion potentials for this. These are the messages WAB is bringing to Copenhagen with the German pavilion.

Co-exhibitors at the WAB joint stand are:

Steelwind Nordenham, the Wölfel Group, Nordwest Assekuranzmakler, wind:research and Inn2POWER.

"For several years now, we have taken the opportunity to present Steelwind as an innovative manufacturer of monopile foundation systems for offshore wind turbines as part of the WAB joint stand at various trade fairs and to play an active role in shaping the topic of energy transition. In Copenhagen, we are again looking forward to many international contacts and the proven excellent organisation and on-site support by the WAB," says Dirk Halfpap, Sales Director of Steelwind Nordenham GmbH.

"We are very pleased to present our innovations in the fields of structural monitoring and vibration mitigation of wind turbines in cooperation with WAB at the Wind Europe in Copenhagen. Wölfel is the European market leader in the field of structural monitoring of offshore wind farms and has built up a unique core competence in the market over decades, especially in signal analysis. However, our dampers have also been able to solve numerous vibration challenges for our customers in recent years. And so we are looking forward to exciting discussions at the WAB booth," says Bernd Wölfel, Head of Offshore Solutions at Wölfel Group.

"As a global insurance broker for renewable energy, we organize customized insurance coverage wherever it is needed. We are looking forward to seeing a number of our international partners and customers again in Copenhagen...and of course the team of WAB. ;-)" says Ralf Tabbert, Managing Director of Nordwest Assekuranzmakler GmbH & Co. KG.

"As a market research partner of WAB, with and for whom we are currently developing studies on the value creation of both offshore wind energy (3rd edition) and hydrogen and wind energy (1st edition), we are pleased to also support WAB's joint stand in Copenhagen. wind:research is one of the leading market research institutes in wind energy and has just produced a brand new study on the expansion status and potential for offshore wind energy worldwide. The focus of our work is on the investigation of markets, technologies, countries, competition in the growth market of wind energy, onshore and offshore and also in the concrete support of the companies, up to sales support or accompaniment of purchase and sales processes. We are looking forward to a lively exchange with you, the WAB and our co-exhibitors," says wind:research Managing Director Dirk Briese, who is also the long-standing head of the WAB working group "Market and Logistics".

"We are pleased to be in Copenhagen with such experienced, innovative and competent WAB members. 'Electric City 2021' is also the ideal platform for us to present our Interreg project Inn2POWER. Together with other partners from countries bordering the North Sea, we are supporting innovation and the growth of SMEs in the offshore wind industry into the 'green' hydrogen economy in this project," says Heike Winkler, Managing Director of WAB e.V.
